Characteristic Curve Viewer
TLDR: This is a tool that I made in fusion which ‘instantly’ maps the characteristic curves of reference image.

How to use the tool:
Place an adjustment layer over the clip, and you draw a trace of the characteristic curve
Apply the Contrast Curve View Effect
Adjust the settings so that the drawn curve matches the image's peak volume. If your image only goes to 80% lume, slide the X scale to remove the top 20 percent of the curve
Smooth the patches into a smooth curve shape
Raise the overlay to cover the entire image
Export a still and reimport it to work with or work directly on the color page of the adjustment layer
Go to the color page and draw a window over the linear ramp at the bottom of the image
Use custom curves or any other contrast adjusting tool you want to shape a curve to match

Contrast Curve Viewing Effect
This effect creates a plot of an image's luminosity values and blends them into a contrast curve. It is best used on reference images that have information in all luminosity ranges.
