  • How Does It Work

This DCTL get placed at the end of your happy little node tree and it takes your image and changes the colors of the image based on exposure stops centered around mid grey.

  • Set up your incoming CST

Place a CST at the beginning of your tree that converts from your camera space to your working space or directly to Rec.709

  • Set your Pipeline Status

If you want to see a Rec.709 image conform pipeline check whether the input is in that state already.

  • Build Your Look

Between the CST and this DCTL, build your look, conform from your working space to Rec.709, make contrast adjustments or hue rotations, do your thing. Pretty much how you built a show lut just with this dctl on the end.

  • Bake The Lut out

Tell Resolve to make a 33 point lut that can be loaded into your camera.

  • Test the Lut

Bring it back into resolve, turn off all nodes and apply the lut… does it look the very similar. Put it in your camera, check it out. But please always test test test to confirm your workflow
